Kudos on a great flight! I love the look of the X-15. I built a model X-15 when I was a kid (around the early '60s) and had a plan to build one for an Estes motor but when I went into the Air Force in 1970, my father decided to clean out things in the storeroom and threw out a lot of my models and rockets.
Worse is that my avatar is when I first got out of the service and the Estes rockets that I still had left, he threw most of those (my Saturn C1b was the biggest loss)!
I have not been active with building or flying since then and I live in the middle of a 6 million-acre forever wild park now so no real good places to fly unless I drive at least an hour and a half!
Now that I am retired, maybe I can try to build some more. I have a Bomarc that is up to painting stage but will have to wait till spring for any more work on it at this point I guess.

Well, happy to be a member here and see what is new and fun.

My first rocket was a Coaster Corp model around 1960 (I think for the year)! Have not gotten around to getting certification for levels but may next year.

Nice to see your work turned out to be such a nice flying rocket!

There's a large R/C B-29 that dropped a X-1 that was also R/C and flew under rocket power I've never seen it done with a X15 though... It's be very cool

You mean dropped from an RC B-52, that's correct for an X-15.....or hypothetically from the back of an XB-71 Valkyrie as was proposed....with a delta wing....

Yeah, that's awesome. Boy, I'd love to see one dropped from an R/C B-29 and airstarted. Wow.

It's worth watching a bit even after the X1 deployment and rocket motor ignition and landing of the X1. Did NOT expect a model of a B29 to do a flat spin, low level inverted pass, a bunch of other aerobatics, and finish with a wheels down loop straight into a perfect landing.
