Ok... I've got the decals, and all the usual bits and bobs needed for my sim of the Estes Vapor... But, I lack one thing. I'm not good with recreating the splatter look of the yellow and black variant of the kit.

What I need is a graphic (.png format) 1800 x 514 pixels that reproduces the look of the forward body tube segment (the black and yellow one). I'd like the yellow to be 255 R, 204 G, and 0 B. From there I can finish my sim.

Thanks!
Jim

Something like this?

Thanks! That's close... However, the kit's facecard doesn't have the "greyish yellow" areas, it's either yellow or black. That's the look I'm aiming for, and it fades to mostly yellow at the top. To sim this, each body tube segment has to be given its own independent "paint and decals" image. The bottom body tube is black, with some decals, and I've already got that covered. I just need the upper body tube's paint. I'm guessing that the lower 3" (300 pixels out of the 1800) is mostly black, and the upper 15" (1500 pixels) is the mostly yellow, with fading splats of black.

Here's an image that was posted on facebook.

That's a cool decal. I like.

Do I assume correctly that it goes over yellow paint?

Estes is expecting the builder to be able to paint this. I wish it was a decal though (or even a "pre-painted" body tube). Decals would make reproducing the appearance a lot easier in both sims and on the actual kit. "Pre-painted" would be a PITA for simming, but it could be done.

The purple paint scheme is a lot easier (decals are included for that as well in the kit)... Must buy two... But the decals for the sim are a PITA. That white on pale blue backing and the pale blue on paler blue backing is really hard to pick out for my purposes.
