Hello, getting back into rocketry after a 30 year hiatus.... I’ve ordered a couple of orders from Apogee Components and so far it’s been a good experience..... just wondering what everyone’s “go to” place to order from is? I’m doing LPR and MPR with the kids....

AC Supply for a large selection of Estes products at a discount: https://www.acsupplyco.com/estes/estes_rockets.htm

Hobby Lobby if you have one around you for a smaller selection of Estes products at a discount.

Apogee is a fine vendor and Tim adds a lot of value with his newsletter and videos on a wide variety of rocketry subjects.

Welcome to the forum ! Where are y'all flying ? And why haven't you posted any launch pictures yet ? ;):)

Thanks for the welcome..... South Florida..... I have a friend that owns a ranch and have some room to fly!

We are in the middle of our builds and I'm waiting on an order from Apogee for my rocket..... I work at an elementary school and the fifth grade wants to build and fly for a science project..... When I found out, I figured I'd volunteer and get back into it myself..... I will definitely post some photos of our school launch next month..... There will be a mixture of home made (paper towel tube and cardboard) rockets and some I purchased for the class.

I plan on hitting Hobby Lobby this weekend with the Mrs and the kids.....

Apogee is great and my go to unless I'm in a highly price sensitive mood or they don't have a particular thing. Then my only go to is Google. I wind up here or there depending who's got what and at what price.

Performance Hobbies, Ken is on the field just about every launch and has what I need right there.

Cool, sounds like you have a great situation. And good on ya for paying it forward and volunteering. Flying with kids is my Fountain of Youth. Takes me right back... :)

Great thread, I had no idea that there were so many vendors myself.

If you're interested in trying a little different set of building techniques take a look at Mach1 Rocketry's bt size kits.

Hobby Lobby is pretty much it for anything local for me.

Online I have been happy with HobbyLinc.com. Prices reasonable, good selection, reasonable shipping.
