If I wake up early and walk by the rocket table, I'm always late for work.

It never fails. If I wake up early and want to to do a thing or two before going to work, I always cut it too close and wind up a few minutes late.

And v-v, I seem to stay up too late many nights, even if just staring at the builds and thinking, what if I do it this way...

I'm like that with my comics. This morning I was late because I was transferring 1/2 billion rows of comic sale data I screen scraped off eBay onto my Azure database from my physical SQL Server.

For the last three years or more, I have not been late to work because of rocket stuff. Then again, I retired. :D

Advice to the close-to-retirement folks. Retire as early as you're able. I went to BALLS for the first time in ten years, and to LDRS. Am going to LDRS next year cuz I don't care what else is going on then.

Retirement is great!

Best -- Terry

I am fortunate enough to have a job where I can bring projects with me to work on during down time between calls

Jealous Big Time!!!
5 more years at hard labor for me.

Once I get a 3D printer and learn how to draw up parts, I plan to spend some of my break time drawing up parts. Until then, learning how to draw 3D parts during breaks. I usually take my laptop to work with me to catch up on e-mail and stuff in the break room. Anyway, drawing up parts at work will be close-enough to building models.

Wish I had your problem. I bought a PML Spitfire kit thats been sitting on my table since May have finished. Every time I walk by I keep walking. Just no motivation, no friends near by that enjoy the hobby and just lost interest in what I do. Seems more like work than a hobby now. I'm sure I'll pick it up again, but I've been like this the last 3 years or so. When I wasn't working I had plenty of time and really enjoyed it, but since I started by in the working world time is a commodity. I love rockets just no time anymore. I'm sure some of you can relate.

Absolutely. Many of us go through phases like that. Hang in there!

In the best pirate voice...

We know you know we're in 'ere...
There's no point in hiding...
The Rockets call to us... Er... You..

Ello' rocket...

I understand your feelings. Back in 2003 due to the attack by the ATFE on our hobby and my kids growing up and losing interest I left my level2 cirt and hung up my rocket hat. Fast forward to August 2019 my grandson 13, became interested, plenty of inspiration.
Now I'm back building and flying as never before. Very excited. You will probably get inspired soon and be back!
