Done with the GoFast 1:3 Scale! Decals are on, now I just have to clear the rocket and polish the nose cone tip. Hopefully the snow stays away this weekend and I’ll launch it, hoping to have these online for sale by the end of the month.
Hey, no fair getting your dad to put the decals on! :)

Looks great!

Correct! An exact 1:3 Scale Go Fast Rocket Kit, 3” Diameter with a 54mm MMT, 5:1 conical nosecone and a 4.5” long aluminum tip. The rocket is 87.5” tall and dyed red and black. This rocket would be perfect for those that fly 54mm motors, collectors, or just want a scaled piece of history. Here’s a sneak peak of the beautiful nosecone for this rocket. It’ll have a 44” booster, 2” switchband, 24” Payload, and a 17.5” nosecone.View attachment 393243

Another nice kit. Any idea yet what the cost will be?

So here are some pics of the bay kit.

Assembly was pretty straight forward after I figured out what went where. I like the modular design. It should hold up well. I plan on making one minor change. The original setup uses pan head screws to engage the Bay's power switches. I plan on replacing the pan heads with hex socket set screws.

Also I still need to wire it all up.

speaking of SMT Designs bays... all the remaining bays will be in the mail to Rocketman on October 1st. I was going to do batches 2, 3 and 4, then Balls at Blackrock happened and I decided to just complete everything. I think this would have been batch four shipped out this week anyway. I will be working on assembly instructions which I expect to have available next week. I am headed to Alabama for BamaBlastOff this Wednesday and I don't expect to be able to work on much while I am away.

are there any assembly instructions for the av bay posted anywhere?

I am in the process of taking photos to at least give you all an idea of what parts go where. Text instructions will follow as soon as I can dd them.

Best regards, Steve Thatcher

I am working on the cost, It’s going to be between $300-320, which I think is very fair. Each kit will include a SCP 75/54 thrust plate anodized red and machined from aluminum. Those are on the way to me as well, along with the kits, that’s why this is taking a bit longer as I’m organizing it all better for the customer. Each kit will also include a certificate of authenticity signed by Ky Michaelson, Jerry Larson and Bruce Lee, 3 of the leading team members who made it happen. Being that the Madcow Go Devil 75, The Adventurer and the Wildman 3 all go for around $300, I think this is a spectacular price, especially with all the small things included and it all being well thought out. Also the Go Fast kit includes a 4.5” long aluminum tip machined from billet, which is beyond beautiful as well.

Very nice Buddy!

The SCP thrust ring/retainer is a great added feature compared to the rocket kits you mentioned.

Should be a quick "sell out" kit.

Yeppers, I used the photos Buddy posted in this thread (Here and Here) as a guide to assemble my bay kit. What also helped was setting out all the hardware pieces and grouping them by type and length. Then based on quantities of each group, I could discern which pieces were used where.

Thank you to everyone for the amazing feedback on the quality of the Miss Riley Kits, even a few have been flown already successfully! Some being their first fiberglass and dual deploy kit ever built. I think Homers and my fathers story is somewhat similar. Proving that anyone can go after their dreams and accomplish the unthinkable if you just never give up. This is something that I live by as well. The GoFast SpaceShot proved just that, my father never went to college, high school drop out, and totally dyslexic, had built and launched a rocket into space with the CSXT Team. Seeing this when I was just 4 years old didn’t mean much than, but now it stands for so much. For those that are interested on watching the GoFast Kit thread, check it out here: https://www.rocketryforum.com/threads/go-fast-rocket-kit.155503/#post-1929659

We are excited to announce the release of our CSXT Space Shot 2004 Rocket Kits now for purchase on our website! These unique kits are 88.5” tall, 3.00” Diameter with a 54mm MMT and have an Aluminum Billet Thrust Plate. Our kits are an exact 1/3rd Scale version of the Civilian Space eXploration Team rocket that was the first rocket to ever reach space built by an all civilian team proving anyone can accomplish their dreams if you never give up. The rocket had reached 72 miles up and 3,420 mph on a S-50,150 solid fuel motor! Each kit is signed by Ky Michaelson, Bruce Lee and Jerry Larson on a Certificate of Authenticity and is limited to 100 kits only that will ever be made. There is also a recovery package available for these kits that include everything you’d need to safely recover the rocket as well as a 3D Printed Altimeter Bay Package for electronics. On our website we have detailed instructions on how to build this kit along with a downloadable Open Rocket Sim file. This rocket will be perfect for a level 1 / 2 project, high performance rocket, or kept as a collector’s item for years to come.

So why isn't this in the vendor section?
Because this started out as a question and a build thread, and turned into a kit. It doesn’t matter where it’s located, I pay the $30 a month and rarely advertise. Vendors are the ones that make this great hobby but I understand there are web fees to be paid.

What is your problem??? Do you need a time-out or a good old fashion smack-down???
Sometimes a person does not know exactly what he needs. Are those my only options?
I just get tired of there being rules for some people and not rules for others. The vendor section exist for a reason.

Try this link from the Vendor Display page. Seems Buddy covered all the concerns/needs you have, not only with his response post, but also in compliance with the rules for others/Vendors.

Typical north east argument. If you don't like what someone is saying, hint at their perceived lack of intelligence and send veiled physical threats their way.

I find it interesting that you care about this as much as I do. I could ask you the same question albeit with more tact than you were able to muster.
Please don’t be a grouch, this is here to celebrate Homer Hickam’s achievements growing up, millions of people look up to October Sky.
