The owner of Estes gives you the chance to bring one model rocket back into production. It has to be a previous release of an Estes model rocket but can be an upscale or downscale of the original design. What would you choose? If it sells really well, you will be given a choice to bring back another one.
 
Easy.

The Estes Cineroc Omega Combo Offer (701-RC-8). I don't even need a working 8mm Camera, I just need a platform for mounting an 808 camera internally. Thus making it a CinerocDV. Think of this... Capturing the classic appearance of the original, yet using a blow-molded nosecone, and camera body, and injection-molded shroud and aft transition, as well as bulkhead, and the materials needed to take a (purchased separately (and modded by the user at their own risk) 808 #16 camera and mount it in such a way that it will film just like the original, along with a first surface mirror, and a simulated power switch that could be actually swapped out with a real part (for a screamer or tracking equipment). And it gets the Cineroc Omega body tube decals that were shown in the catalog, but never issued with the kit.

Redshift it to accept E motors (gap staged just like the original), and equip it with laser-cut TTW fins.

I know this is not what you asked, but i just thought that a D-Region Tomahawk and or Sand Hawk done in the size and fashion of the Star Orbiter would be great. You can use the 29BP motors and have wood fins.

This!! I scratch my head wondering why we live in the age of tiny digital cameras for cheap and Estes doesn’t have a kit to accommodate video! Estes doesn’t have to manufacture video cameras just make a nice kit to accommodate one! The 808 is ubiquitous among rocket hobbyist and could easily be integrated into a kit. The cineroc was way more complicated an endeavor to capture film than what could be done today in much simpler and cheaper manner for Estes.
 
+1 on the Scissor Wing Transport.

Given they are building (or at least SELLING) altimeters, so they are back in the electronics business, would be really nice to see a rocket ) with the equivalent of an 808 camera in it, with a rear facing lens. I am thinking build it into a payload section, with a fairing that makes it aerodynamic, rear facing lens, easily accessible on/off switch, USB charge-able and downloadable. They had one a while back, but the quality wasn't very good.

Might even put this in a "starter" kit with pad, ignition system, and motors. I am betting they could do it for less than the Saturn V starter kit that is out there now.
 
Hmmn, first thing that popped in my head was the Bomarc but I think my final answer would be a BT70 Pro Series Honest John. I think it'll be a good seller because they always have an Honest John (or two), the Maxi kits are going for premium prices and I think it would probably work out to use their 29mm motors.

+1. I inquired a few years ago since the Estes LJ II kit uses the 3.42" tube. Response was "since we no longer have a dedicated parts department..... blah, blah, blah".
Frustrating.

Hmm, it has to be something old, and difficult to clone. Since the Interceptor has been re-released (twice!), and I already have the Maxi-Brute Pershing, I'm going with the LTV Scout. Slim chance, I know! (Of course, I'd be perfectly happy with a Mercury Atlas.)
