Prices reduced!!

OK just finished building a 22' long "R" powered rocket and I've got a bunch of brand-new
stuff I'd like to sell.

Bear with me as I'm not real good with this "For Sale" section of the forum lol.

It's a first-come first-served (if paid up front) basis. As items sell I'll remove them from the listing.

Again be patient with me as I don't do this very often! I live near Houston and some of the bigger stuff is for local pick-up only.

Again everything is brand-new. PayPal friends and family is preferred. Please e-mail me directly at my first name then Cummins777 then @comcast.net

Start making some offers gents. Actual shipping costs extra.

Thanks!!

Chuck

Keep checking back onto this thread guys. I'm adding stuff and changing prices almost on a daily basis.

Thanks!

Was this the motor case ever pressure tested ? I know you where on the fence about it .

These have not been pressure-tested. There is a 9 1/2 foot one that was tested with all hardware installed.

From what I understand the test went very well. I want to say 900 psi?

Thanks.

Just dropped the price of the 8 1/2’ complete motor casing down to $1000!

One of you needs to jump on this deal! It’s a thing of beauty! Can’t beat the price.

Is that the old casing made from seamed/welded drainage tube? Wasn't that talked about in your build thread, and the reason you had real motor hardware made?

Yes it’s rolled aluminum. I didn’t want to use it for that reason. There are several fliers where rolled aluminum isn’t a deal-breaker.

It’s also the reason the price is where it is. Even if it doesn’t sell there’s still a “cool” factor having it.

Thanks!

It may be cool as far as size is concerned , but it is virtually useless unless your burning at <200 psi . If the case did not split , your Clousers will spit out for sure . Nothing personal , this is not a attack on you . It is simply a safety risk . That and the person who charged you a thousand dollars for this should be ashamed . As a machinest , I would never , ever , use welded seamed aluminum tube of those dimensions as a high temp / high pressure vessel . Please do not think I'm attacking you . I have witnessed first hand seamed aluminum tube peeling open violently enough that the tube is bent completly the opposite way it was formed.

Nope you're right on target! It's why I went with John Demar's design. Unfortunately I got ripped off on his second motor but the one motor I have from him is in my opinion the best out there.

This seamed motor casing has a "cool" factor to it. Even if it stays in the Rocket Barn it's fine. I'll take $1000 for it now but won't go any lower. Less than a $1000 I'll keep it as super-neat paperweight lol.

Again you're absolutely right about a seamed motor.

GIGGITY GIGGITY

Yeah I had one previously and absolutely destroyed the transmitter in a rather horrendous lawn dart. Never got around to replacing it until I saw your sale.
