Hey Folks new to the forum and have been getting in to the hobby over the last few months with several builds completed. I just wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts on the glue I’ve been using in my builds. I’ve been using gorilla glue clear grip to attach fins, launch lugs, and shock mounts to much success. I still fillet with tite bond II and have had good results with it. The clear grip doesn’t foam and expand like other reports of standard gorilla glue I’ve read about. I like it because it sets up much quicker that wood glue but still gives you plenty of time to adjust. It also gives a tiny amount of flex to the fin which I think aids in prevent damage from hard landings. It doesn’t sand very well which is why I’m careful to remove excess with my finger when apply the fins to the body tube. I’ve used it on birds that are mini engine powered on up to e powered with no failures. Just curious to see if anyone else has had experience with it as I’ve not read any mention of it’s use in the posts I’ve read. Thanks for any input you may have! I really enjoy this forum and have learned a ton from you folks!
