What motors in the Estes lineup are considered 18mm and 24mm?
I am assuming that is the diameter of the motor casing.
What about the length?
I know a rookie question.
Thanks.

Thrustcurve.org is your friend. You can filter on diameter and manufacturer (Openrocket also has the data in its motor files)

18mm motors (some 1/2A and A, all B and the C6) are 70mm long. Different delays abound.

24mm D12 (C11 still around?) Are 70mm long, 24mm Es are ~90mm long (dont trust that from me)

Edit: fixed the length

Thanks was more interested in which engines will fit my rockets 18 and 24 mm motor mounts
But the above charts are awesome and have a lot of great information

Maybe a picture ? For kits with 24mm holes, the face card or instructions will tell you if it is "E" length capable. For extra credit, a lot of TRFers dispense with the internal forward thrust ring on 24 and 29mm models to eliminate length limitations. That also usually involves changing motor retention.

A big +1 for Thrustcurve. Lists all the motors that fit and makes an educated guess at which ones will give a safe ride.
