Performance Rocketry 11.675" Diameter V2 kit. Includes nose cone, fin can (the extremely rare piece), glassed & finished PML tube, various bulkhead and rings. Glass parts have yellowed but are plenty strong. Previous owner (or maybe from the factory) foam filled the fins. I will throw in a PML phenolic coupler and a thrust ring I water jetted that fits the fin can perfectly and has holes drilled to fit a 98mm Aeropac retainer.

Asking $750 picked up from my shop near Baltimore or $900 shipped to your door.

Thanks for taking a look

Can you show me a picture of the inside of the nose cone?

Chuck this is the same as my big V2 except my body tube is fiberglass. My cone was also white with gel coat. Mine came from Curtis. This may be one from the previous owner of the molds. The name escapes me at the moment.

Thanks. Changed the prefix. I very happy someone bought it. I need to avoid burning rockets. Too many to build.

Hi Chuck,

Is there anyway you can reopen the V2 sale?/ make it available again? I have not heard back from the gentleman who said he would take it in 5 days even though I have sent multiple message.

best

I am glad this sold. I was very tempted. This and the nike smoke you had are my all time favorites. I just have too much to build and not enough years to build them.

If life were measured in post counts, you'd live forever, Chuck. ;)

I have had two of these kits, in addition to this one. One was stolen from my shed, before I could build it and the other experienced an untimely death when the 4" experimental motor stripped the retention ring from the motor resulting in a very spectacular shred about a half second after lift off.

This kit's history is a little vague. I'm not sure if the nose cone and fin can are Dangerous Dave originals or manufactured by Curtis Turner, as he acquired the molds sometime in the late 1990"s or very early 2000's. One thing I have never seen before is a black nosecone. Anyone with any origin/historical information on this kits origin would be interesting.

I also have one of these. Mines from Curtis. Flew it several times. Need to pull it out and get it flight ready for some time in the future.
