I'll be flying my APRO Lander II tomorrow in his memory, for what it's worth. Has some of his vinyl on it, and one of his parachutes on the inside (and of course based on his design).

I'm really sorry to come across this thread. I had emailed Gary about a month ago since I hadn't heard from him since August of last year. He was a great guy and a longtime customer. It's sad to lose him.

Damn. I remember flying with him and Crazy Jim last year in Camden, SC. For those of you who only knew his online memes and humor this guy was such a friendly man to all who tried rocketry. Even when you met him at first time, his radiant and positive personality really seemed like a person you knew for a long time ago. He had a real passion of music too. To those of you that have Gary’s rockets, I think he would definitely approve of keeping them flying. What a way to go... He seemed so healthy when I saw him last year. Just happened to stumble onto this thread also.
