I saw this video camera set up at LDRS and I would like to have one like it. Can anyone advise me where to purchase this setup. Thanks!IMG_2807 (2).JPG

Hey Joe, Why did you go with the mini? Just asking because I know nothing about this subject.

I knew nothing either. I just went with the mini because it’s smaller and saw some good reviews. I’ve used it a few times and have been happy with the results.

I’ve used this shroud with the mobius mini. Works great. It did melt a little bit and will need to be replaced or heated and remolded some after the last flight.

The mobius mini gives you about 28 minutes of video time (assuming you have that much memory) for its battery. I’d also recommend drilling a hole in the top where the mini has its brighter indicator light. The one on the side can be hard to see on a sunny day. I have a few recordings of me just turning it on and off and no flight. The hole in the top has fixed that.

Some video from it here and on a few other videos of mine. Quality is pretty good.

Landru (his TRF name) now uses PET instead of PLA for the shrouds he prints. That is supposed to help with deformation from heat. He started using PET in late 2018. All of the shrouds I have from him are the PLA and they are sensitive to heat.

Interesting. I’m not sure what this is made from. It does feel a little more like PLA. I’ve never had a problem but then again, this is the first time the rocket has ever seen this velocity.
