Done some searching but not really what I was looking for. Mostly older threads. Are there any kits made for HPR 2 stage? Anyone that has done second stage, any helpful tid bits would be great. Got a project in mind. Thanks.

Try a Google search for Madcow Double Shot and another search for Madcow Nike Apache. You should find a pretty good amount of info.

I reckon the Double Shot is an excellent kit for a first HP 2 stage attempt.

The interstage has enough room to do what you want and with a standard 54mm MMT has enough potential for going hard. Another club member has one with a 75mm MMT where he is planning to go hybrid. The av bay on the sustainer is a little tight but I managed to squeeze a Marsa54L with Pyronet to a Pyrobridge in the interstage. Excellent flights.
BTW that's me in the second set of pics on the page
Cheers

Have you built this? I'm starting mine.
Yep. In fact I finally got around to doing my ground testing today. Nice looking kit. I'm planning on flying it this coming weekend but first with a dummy motor in the sustainer so I can get the timing right for the air start. The inter-stage coupler is a little too snug on the sustainer though - I worry too much so for the needed drag separation, so I'm going to need to work on sanding that down a bit.

Have you considered using a separation charge? It takes a surprisingly small charge to pop your sustainer from the ISC, even then they are very tight. I would assume 0.3 grams FFFFg would do the trick (that's what I'm templating to use in mine)
