Anyone know why Aerotech High Power casings are so hard to find new from rocket dealers. The only one I see that has any stock is Wildman???

One of the dealers told me that Aerotech is having a very difficult time finding a vendor to make the casings. Supposedly they have rejected a number of samples sent in for evaluation by prospective vendors. This may or may not be true, but it makes sense given the scarcity of these things.

Tubes are being manufactured, but there's always a long lead time. The tubing used for our hobby is actually pretty difficult to find in stock, so it's more a matter of finding a manufacturer with reasonable prices (the quantities we buy, as a niche hobby, are much lower than standard industrial runs) and then waiting to get your order because with lower quantity and specific specs, it's not the highest of priorities...
So, motor tube retailing is tough. Like, really tough. If you want one, and someone has it in stock, don't wait because you never know how long it'll take to be restocked. Wildman's prices are fair, and they get even better with the Wildman Club discount.
Personally, I've been browsing the yard sale, always on the lookout for tough to find hardware.

Tubing for reload cases, onlinemetals pages. Online metals is expensive but if you only need a small quantity, this is a source.
FOR 29 MM https://www.onlinemetals.com/en/buy...loy:6061:OuterDiameter:1.125%22:Wall:0.058%22
FOR 38 mm https://www.onlinemetals.com/en/buy...Alloy:6061:OuterDiameter:1.5%22:Wall:0.058%22
FOR 54 mm **Non standard size.** You have to get a mill run minimum of 2000 feet and LONG lead time.
I haven't checked into 75 and 98 mm but tubes this size are usually extruded with looser tolerances and poor centering of ID and OD. Probably need mill run or turn down OD.

BTW, this is what I use for the 13 mm C20 and D40 hardware :) https://www.onlinemetals.com/en/buy...Alloy:6061:OuterDiameter:0.5%22:Wall:0.028%22
