I disagree. Sure the main wings look like a shrunken deltie, but this plane functions completely different. I’d argue Estes went with the tandem wing in the back for style, and potentially as a way to add dihedral effect. They didn’t really borrow anything from Edmonds, the split main wing is all at the same incidence, the angles forming the delta shape are different, etc.
