May be common knowledge, but passing along I picked up some 5/8" tubular nylon webbing from REI for only $0.30 a foot.

My store didn't carry it in stock, but you can ship to store for free. It's the same width as the webbing I scorched in an older rocket and even feels a little stronger. According to the vendor, Blue Water, it has a tensile strength of 2,300lbs . I'll let you know how it works. Tried uploading some pics below.

It's good stuff. I use the one inch stuff in a 60lb rocket with no problems.

I've used it in the past and just bought some more, for my new rockets.
It's climber spec and can take heat better because it is thicker than the normal webbing.

I use it and it works very well. Plus, the red color has helped me find rockets more than once.

My order was sitting on my steps this morning! Not sure if it came today or last night...

I use it in my NCR Archer XL. Works perfectly, plus the red matches the color of the rocket

That stuff is referred to as 'super tape', and it is definitely stronger than the white tubular nylon shown.
It is also heavier.

For smaller rockets, there is also 1/2" tubular nylon, but it is more difficult to find.

Here's another source:

Tubular Nylon

Blue Water Tubular Nylon
Patterned Elastic (40% stretch) (a bit more expensive than the TN, but who doesn't want a 20-foot pink and green Argyle shock cord?)
3/4", 50 patterns, 57¢/ft: https://www.strapworks.com/3_4_Patterned_Elastic_p/pe34.htm
1", 57 patterns, 71¢/ft: https://www.strapworks.com/product_p/pe1.htm (produced per order, and it is a non-stock item. It may take up to 2 weeks to fulfill.)

They also have solid colors of elastic for 54¢/ft (3/4") and 66¢/ft (1") https://www.strapworks.com/Elastic_s/63.htm

Blue water? As is porta pot water? No thanks.

FYI, Bluewater is a rope/strap manufacturer, noted for rope that withstands the rigors of caving under muddy and abrasive conditions. Their rope can be washed with a special rope washing device to remove the grit from the rope that would destroy other ropes. This makes me feel that Bluewater tubular strap is superior to many others.

Does anyone know of a source of something more narrow than 1/2" wide Tubular Nylon?
Ideally I'd like to get 3/8".
The smallest I can find is 1/2".

I've found "Paracord" but am unsure if it is the same thing - anybody know?

I guess your sense of humor is different than mine.

Paracord is not nearly as strong - especially the cheaper stuff you get at Walmart, etc. I use 1/4" kevlar when space is a concern. Wildman sells that too - and at a good price.
