Economics 101 (Supply and Demand):
You don't get to raise your prices just because your costs went up.
Tell that to my can manufacturers. Price went up as soon as tariffs for aluminum announced. And they are shipping me inventory produced in 2016.
The fuel surcharge never went away, at least not for my lawn mowing and such.We saw that with "fuel surchage" back when gas was $3-$4 a gallon.
The tariffs were delayed until December because they were going to hurt Xmas sales.
Yup. Economics of the clueless, by the clueless, for the clueless. I'm surprised that the tariffs weren't suspended until NEXT Christmas...What's funny about this is that the realities of the global supply chain mean that the peak shipping season from China for Christmas stuff is from mid-August to mid-October. If it's not on board a ship already, it's almost certainly been ordered. So this delay probably won't have much effect.
