I will pay the extra if we can get China to quit ripping us off intellectually and with currency manipulation. Wouldn’t it be nice if more models were made in the USA

Tell that to my can manufacturers. Price went up as soon as tariffs for aluminum announced. And they are shipping me inventory produced in 2016.

They won't go down when (or if) the tariffs come off. As soon as they find out you will pay $x.xx per can, that's what they're gonna charge you.
We saw that with "fuel surchage" back when gas was $3-$4 a gallon.
The fuel surcharge never went away, at least not for my lawn mowing and such.
I complained once, when gas was lower than $2, without success.

The tariffs were delayed until December because they were going to hurt Xmas sales.

What's funny about this is that the realities of the global supply chain mean that the peak shipping season from China for Christmas stuff is from mid-August to mid-October. If it's not on board a ship already, it's almost certainly been ordered. So this delay probably won't have much effect.

Yup. Economics of the clueless, by the clueless, for the clueless. I'm surprised that the tariffs weren't suspended until NEXT Christmas...
