Is it possible to allocate more memory to Openrocket? When I sim my 54mm minimum diameter it keeps running out of memory. If so, how can I do it?

Thanks!

Never heard of this. How much memory do you have? What is the error message, and where is it coming from (OR or Windows?)

Maybe your simulation time step is way too small. 0.01 sec is usually sufficient.

Yeah, I've not heard of this either. Are you able to post your ORK file?
I have a water cooled Intel I7 4790k and 16GB of memory. It is an extreme flight mach 2.4+ and 30,000.

Yeah, it seems like the simulation does not stop when the rocket reaches the ground... just keeps going for a very long time, filling up memory with meaningless results. I will see if anyone on the dev list has an idea. OK if I post the ORK file there?

Wait, I found the problem: you have a booster stage there with nothing in it. That seems to be mucking up the works. Delete the booster stage and then everything seems to work OK.

That is a speedy rocket. :)

Yeah, it went mach 2.36 (1810 mph) and 27,320 then lawndarted at 850+ fps, but the boost worked perfectly. I am working on redesigning and optimizing more. I am thinking the altimeter failed as I used 1.2 grams and tested it multiple times with 1 gram to great success.
