Hit up my local today, really good deal ($6) on mini-motor four-packs, and pretty good pricing on 18mm and 24mm motor packs. I managed to resist the $20 Amazon/Crossfire starter set but did pick up a Yankee, one of the classic 3FNCs that I wanted when younger but never got.

Thanks for the heads up on this. Got some D12-0’s, A majestic, and three more kits to boot! The lady at the counter said “you’re not even phased about me ringing this up as toys are you?” I told her I was quite proud of that fact.

hecked the local HL, all 29mm motors were red tagged and gone, all smaller motors were yellow tagged, even the old E9s. E12s were originally 23.99, yellow tagged for 15.99 :)

Took the Majestic incomplete kit back to Hobby Lobby tonite and got a refund. Got an email from Estes saying my new Majestic kit was shipped out today.
GO ESTES

Good job!

I don't think Estes can sell the incomplete kit.
I bought a Majestic kit too and check it for completeness and it is fine.
$12.49 was hard to pass on....

I was in there with my daughter yesterday and every single bit of rocketry stuff has been marked down pretty heavily. I got a PSII Majestic that was priced at 49.99 originally, for 12.49 and a package of F engines that were originally 27.99 for 5.99. Didn't have a lot of cash but I'm going back tomorrow. Is HL leaving rocketry behind?

Oh your a lucky duck! I had to pay the original price for most of their goods, darn I hope HL does not leave the rocketry behind, ill check my store web and see if they are actually dropping all resale prices for the model rockets...

Ok so far HL is not dropping the rockets from their stores they are having a sale for specific rockets, motors, and other parts, but it only is good until so long, I mean i think thats what's happening, I might be wrong. IDK

Also that depends on where you live, maybe they might pull them off the shelf due to lack of sales, only time will tell + buy me some if you will..

Just cleared out the local HL of PSII igniters... they work great for the AT 18mm D10/D21's. $1.49 for a 4 pack... not too shabby. They had E12's for $15.99, that's basically the 40% off, picked up a 3-pack of E12-6's for a LOC Viper-III cluster. Hopefully they won't cato... I give it 50-50.

I swear I searched for other threads! Must have missed them. Anyway, went back in there yesterday with as much cash as I could muster and got a PSII Star Orbiter, a Wizard and several packs of smaller motors in the A/B range.

Out with the old....

In with the new.

I drove over to my local Hobby Lobby this morning to check on the availability of the exclusive Estes kits.

The store had all eight of them on the pegs.

I picked up one of each (There was only one Luna Bug out).

The kit names and product numbers are:

Tigres EST0811

Long Ranger EST0814

Luna Bug EST0816

Cadet EST2021

Cherokee-E EST2408

Epic II EST7286

Solo EST7288

Here's pictures of the face cards and backs of the kits.

I assume that the Solo is a good C6-3 eater, since the Double Ringer recommends that motor. I wonder if it will work with a B6-2.....

EDIT: Just looked at the PDF of the Double Ringer instructions and it recommends the B6-2 for first flight. The Solo probably will not, since Hobby lobby dropped the B6-2 motor (or at least they had dropped it during the sale of discontinued items).

BTW, i prefer that my gliders glide gently back down to the ground rather than "tumble gently back down to the ground."

How close is the profile on the Cherokee E to the original?

The trauma continues as I just bought a few strangler red tag items in the south Omaha store,
