I am looking for two Archetype / Prarie Twister style cable cutters that I need for a LDRS 38 project. If anyone can help, please send me a PM. I'm looking for new or well cared for cutters.

Thanks,
Jeff

Are these no longer available commercially? Looking on the Prairie Twister site, all products are in stock and ready to ship. However, I can't get to the contact page....

If you can't find what you need, let me know... I saw mine last night, brand new, never used. I know exactly where they are in order to drop them in an USPS flat rate box if needed.. Or I can bring them to LDRS. I've never even considered using them in the five plus years I've had them. And I just picked up a chute release.... Go figure.

You can order them directly from Prairie Twister here:

Actually I placed an order for two cable cutters with Prairie Twister on June 7th. I still have not received them and there has been no response to my multiple contact attempts. I have given up on them and am planning to file a PayPal complaint to get my money back, but right now I am more worried about getting the cable cutters.

Thanks Mike! PM sent.

What a bummer. I just used mine for the first time last month. Admittedly, I had them for a few years before trying them. I was impressed with how well they worked though. May have to come up with my own version. I'm just not that excited about the Chute Release for what I'm looking to do.

Yeah it definitely is a bummer. I don't know of anyone else who is making them. I recently purchased a few of the Manly Cable Cutters from Alex Pavlik and they are really nice but are meant for bigger rockets. They are almost twice the size of the Prairie Twister type. I wonder if he would be willing to scale them down?

There was a post in ‘vendor reviews’ earlier this year saying that’s PT doesn’t respond to emails but shipped product after about a month....

If you are still looking for a set, I have an original Archetype set that I’d be willing to part with, I rarely use them. I’ll have to check the box, but I think I have 2 complete cutters, extra pistons, extra O-Rings, extra zip ties, cleaning brush, 2 of each size cap. Used quite a few times, but cleaned well after each flight. PM me if interested.

Just received my cutters from Prairie Twister today.
Placed the order this last Sunday, the 18th.

After three months of waiting I finally received my order after I returned from LDRS. Given that in my case they had no customer support and absolutely no communication, I would have a tough time calling them a reliable company. I will stay clear from now on.

Me too . . . Original Archetype dual cutters with zip ties and extra o-rings. All new, never used. Also a Type I HDPE Tender Descender, never used.

I bought an Archetype dual set of cutters with extra stuff from the Prairie Twister site on March 12. Upon ordering I got an email confirmation. 8 days later I got an email notice it had shipped. I had the hardware a few days later. Everything looks perfect. I'm happy with the service and the product and would order from them again. Thanks Prairie Twister.
