Watching this has absolutely been a trip. It has been awhile since I've seen something on the internet that I would describe as truly incredible.

The detail and work put into this is almost beyond description. It sounds almost silly to say, but if I weren't watching this on a Macbook Pro, I would be convinced I really was witnessing the mission live. It is at its best during the times they sync up the video from the CM or Mission Control itself.

I've had it on in the background at the office. It's beyond cool.

It's almost uncanny to think about it. I'm actually getting, essentially, a more immersive minute-by-minute experience of the mission than the general public did at the time....for events that happened a decade before I was even alive. Astonishing.

I absolutely agree. We've had it running kind of in the background on computers at both ends of the house except when we've gone to bed. Amazing listening/watching.

I have gotten an amazing insight into the dynamics in Mission Control (especially on Gene Kranz' White Team shift) both yesterday afternoon and going on right now "eavesdropping" on them as they work.

It has been quite a trip putting the decals on my Estes 2157 1/100 Saturn V the last couple of hours with this going on in the background.

Does anyone know of a good kids oriented Apollo documentary? Something a bit shorter than this amazing Apollo in real-time website?

It is almost uncanny how much the illusion can grip you. Someone on Twitter posted a photo of the splashdown with the caption of "They're back!" I nearly responded, "They're not back yet; it is two hours to entry interface!"

Isn’t it, though? My wife and I have had it running pretty much the whole mission, with the sound on when we were awake, and we found ourselves talking about the status of the mission as if it was happening right then, not 50 years ago. I’d still be listening but I’m just about to start the second day’s drive on my trip to NARAM so have missed it from about two hours after the crew awakened “yesterday”.

I think I’ll let it run here in the motel room until I have to leave for day 2 of the drive....
