Negative. From what I've seen to date you could probably have one custom machined out of the metal of your choice for far less than they appear to sell for. Just need specs...

Nope. Fell apart. Not sure if the guy making them every started.

Correct. I need a jig that can handle 3 inch and larger rockets.

I have attached my current fleet. All rockets are 4 inch in diameter. My largest is a two stager that I will launch to 120k ft on a CTI N5800 to CTI N1560. 549216f0-0f34-42e2-8ac0-1b48a75aa557.jpg IMG_2194 (4).jpeg IMG_2453.jpeg

I would try and contact the guy offering to build them. The 3D printed project did not get traction.

I posted pictures showing that I started... I work on them when I get time.
Hi Dan

I am looking forward to you completing this project. I am certain that there will be many more members interested in one of these units.

I will be really interested in seeing these - I'll try to find you at NARAM. I'm still learning to get the best out of the one I got this year and will be curious to see your implementation of the concept.

I’ll be at naram only for the north coast cup and team selection .my son is trying out for the jr team again.

I tried to stay as close to the original as possible some items I couldn’t find to purchase so They are a little different . I also decided to have all the major components anodized.

I saw the assembled pictures in Steve's thread on YORF. It looks great!!

I will very much want to talk to you at NARAM - I am planning to be there the whole time and am not flying the North Coast Cup so will have time to come see and visit.

How much would adding a 24mm mandrel add to the price?

Thanks , the pictures Steve took are of the prototype i still have to finish a few more items on it. But that’s basically it.

So, now, the "800lb Gorilla in the room" . . . How much are you going to charge for these ?

Dave F.

Good news they will not be 800 pounds!

I will be selling them complete with 3 mandrels 10mm,13mm, And 18mm for $400 (£319.28)

I will try to post some pictures on here later today.

This is very exciting Dan. Is it possible to use a mandrel for the the jig for a 98mm body tube?

Yes, The original and I am sure Dan has made the ability to swap out Mandrels.

Great. Are the parts metallic or plastic in this latest design?

Are you looking for just a single 24mm mandrel?

No , 4” tube will not work according to the original the max tube size is 3”.

Here is the original listing:

There is a piece of 4” tube on the side for scale of this jig. I suppose it would be possible with some creativity .but that is not what this unit was designed for.

Dan, can you make a 29mm mandrel? The original Art Rose had up to a 29mm mandrel size.

Siya yes I can make bigger mandrels. But at this time I am only making mandrels for 10/13/18mm these are the most common size motors for the flyers these are geared for .

I am possibly looking into bringing back kr-100 high power fin jig. Which is the one I think you are really looking for.

Thanks chuck it’s very close to the original , with a few of my own modifications.

Dan please make a 29mm mandrel. I will use the mandrel on a 29mm MMT with centering rings for a 3.9" tube. I already own a large guillotine jig from Apogee but it doesn't compare with the precision of an Art Rose Fin Jig.

I have an Art Rose fin jig with a 54mm mandrel but I've lost the instructions after several moves. Does anyone have any instructions they can copy and send me? Thanks!
