Last pic is the survivors in my parking spot until the barn comes down and the shop goes up.

Lots of the small stuff survived due to being in totes, most of my largest tubes are shot.

Today I got my level 2 back, after 18 years, at the DARS launch at Gunter. Flew this 5.5 inch Rocket R&D Skyraider I built back in the 90's. I used an AT J825 Redline, I love those Redline motors. 16 lb empty weight did 1582 feet. It was a great rocketry day. Thanks to Steve and George for the help.

Watched 19 altimeters sell in a little more than two hours on here. Lots of people have lots of money burning holes in their pockets.

PSC473 at Weber Farm tomorrow. Three Estes Crayon rockets and B6-2's for the granddaughters. Wildman Darkstar Jr on an H130W, and NCR Lance Delta on a CTI G100 Skidmark for me. Forecast calls for perfect conditions!

Level 1 certified yesterday after 40 years away from rockets...so I think it was time! Thanks to Dan and Suzy at DARS for helping me with this today. Rocket is a LOC Fantom 438, and I used an AT I140W motor. 1914' apogee with a guide chute and a Jolly Logic Chute release at 600. Got a bit of video too, but definitely need a better camera in the future. :) Goodbye money, it was nice knowing you!

I finally finished my Saturn V to add to the list of Saturns going up on 20 July. I remember “helping” my dad build a Saturn V plastic model in the early 70’s, which led to me getting into model rocketry and eventually becoming an Aerospace Engineer. It’s hard to believe it’s been 50 years...

Lost a Jolly Logic Chute Release when I forgot to attach the tether. I suppose I should congratulate myself for remembering to turn it on.

Although I'm sure he sympathizes with us I have a feeling John Beans relishes these posts. I'm also down an altimeter 3 that disappeared about a month ago along with a Mach1 Scat. He's watching his inbox for the order. I'm trying to resist but I know I'll give in eventually.
Take heart, I've done worse. At least you know where it is. Good luck on retrieval.

If you don't see the problem, take note of the red tether cord. Unfortunately the chute release opened right on time.
That's a great shot!
