Sucks to be me!

I have not received my kit yet! No less thank 4 time he told me it would be shipping tomorrow. I have not gotten a tracking number.

My PayPal app has been said June 14th was the last day I could file a claim. Apparently there is a bug in the iOS app and June 13th was the last day. So to claim support there, looks like I'll not be using them so much anymore.

You'll have to do your own research, but this looks to fall into the category of wire fraud. Perhaps an advisory that you'll call law enforcement would get him moving?

Wire fraud? Absolutely bull****. The whole issue here is not Ken totally. Unfortunately he trusted in someone to keep their word and as usual Curtis Turner has shown us exactly what he's made of. He takes Ken's money and fills other vendors orders. I won't name them because I don't need that hassle. I apologized once publicly for badmouthing Curtis but those days are long gone. Ken has had to give 2000$ in PayPal refunds because of Curtis, yet Curtis doesn't give Ken any money back. I feel your pain, this is a terrible situation but it's not Ken's fault. Curtis has been doing this for years. Ken's only fault is taking Curtis at his word to get the product out. I have said my piece and will accept the consequences.

Jim,

Stop defending Ken, he is just as culpable as Curtis here. I said it before and I'll say it again, it is the vendors responsibility to be clear indicating this was a pre-order sale, which it was not made clear at all. Ken is well aware the Curtis reputation and associated risks.

Ken took the order, took the money, and committed to delivering a product. Curtis may have done the same but that’s strictly between him and Ken.
Wire fraud is probably difficult to prove; Ken may have had great intentions. But there are probably other charges that might stick.

With all due respect, Justin is right.

Curtis has had a long history of failing to follow through, and for whatever reason, Ken feels he needs to maintain the working relationship with Curtis, which is akin to shooting himself in the foot. Ken needs to find a new supplier if he is to continue to provide his own line of kits and/or figure out a way to maintain stability as far as product flow (not cash flow) -- doing so will yield much happier customers and better feedback.

Whether or not it was a presale (and whether or not it was advertised as such), you are still on the hook for delivering product, which you took money for.... It's evident that Curtis is not the only rocket building materials manufacturer in the industry... There are others. I would have been looking for other sources months ago when it was clear Curtis was not delivering.

I'm still patiently waiting on mine. Others in our club have received and are building theirs (along with the Mad Dog XL which is very similar) Our plan is have a 5-way drag race this year. The other components, including motors also ordered black Friday have also not shown up. Also from reputable dealers... so there's that.

Last couple years get my motors in August from BF...seems like blue thunder is always the hold up.
But I expect that, knowing the situation.

I received my kit two weeks ago, delivered and order closed. I got a nice black air frame, so I think I’ll run with that at paint it black. I’m hoping the will be my frequent flier this year at Higgs.

Anyone else get theirs recently? Season out West is about to get going again... others in our club got theirs fairly quickly and a few have completed builds. Can't have a drag race though without all the kits!

Nothing yet here either, season is starting and we had big plans for the 5 that our club members ordered. (3 of which I believe have been delivered, and built). We had custom rotating Bama chutes, all matching and a drag race planned. Down to ~1 month until the launch.

I hear there are 8 left on this order to fulfill. Hopefully before the year mark!
