Sold 5.5" Madcow V-2 New in the Box

For sale is a Madcow kit, a 5.5" V-2 that is new in the box and unbuilt. I've decided to go a different route on my first V-2 build, so this has to go. 54mm motor mount. The items marked with a red "X" are not included with the kit, but I would swap them for stainless anyway...

You should build it. It is the same kit as the camo V2 I flew at Freedom Launch on the Loki J528. Head end dual deploy.

How do you handle tracking with head-end dual-deploy? Do you put your tracking device in the nosecone along with the main?

I have a few rockets with HED deployment. I’ve attached an RF tracker to the drogue harness on some and GPS in the AV bay on others.

I use an Com Spec RF system with the V2. I normally put it in the booster section along with the drogue.

I use a BRB900. I slide it into a piece of 1/2" pipe insulation, then shove the whole thing into a pill jar. Duct tape the jar to the shock cord.

I have been sewing pockets in Parachutes for this exact problem, this one was used for USC Space Shot for their Spot Tracker in the Kevlar Chute.

Hey Sammy, this is a LOC 5.5". Flew like you would not believe on a J520W. I would build yours and fly if it was mine. I really like the scale stuff. Good luck.
