I spent alof of the weekend taking pictures, but I'm still trying to find the cable for my camera. For now, I can offer this panorama of the flightline...WP_20190622_10_23_38_Panorama (2).jpg

Wow,,
Some super cool shots Rick..
Thank you for going to the trouble of posting..

I saw that going out and laying in the field. The zipper wasn't bad, but definitely not good. Great UP!
Rebuilding forward of the motor mount (coupler & 24" body tube), and she'll fly again.... going with 2" Y-webbing next year for motor mount attachment, to OneBadHawk tether, and strengthening the boosters leading edge with either CF or Al....

So are there any other major launches coming up in the Northeast? I didn't get my fill at URRF.

I should also comment that this launch was one of the first where I did feel truly welcome, and encouraged to attend all the post-launch activities. Being at the campsite helped a lot in that regard!

The memories of 'walking on a marshmallow' will remain with me for a long time! (The ground was squishy, like walking on marshmallows..)

A few of the locals; farmers, came by to watch with their kids in tow. Most in bare feet. That I thought neat..

Tim: How's your ankle?

Bad sprain
The doc said it would heal faster if it was broke[emoji20]

A sprain is nothing to mess with Tim..
You had some lump on the side of your foot..
Keep ice on it..

I know,, that's easier said than done..

Teddy

+1 for sure Dennis..
Did you know Larry told me that he's coming to the next METRA launch ??
How cool is that..

CRMRC.org is planning a biggie in July, July 20th, to commemorate some guys named Neil & 'Buzz', who took some small steps .. :D

Patty and I had the pleasure of flying with the CRMRC club last July. The launch was followed by a couple adult beverages, BBQ and some great rocket chatter. This years Apollo themed launch is looking to be another great launch for us. With a 10K waiver.....yup 10K in an awesome location just off Lake Champlain this could possible be the "July place to be".

those are great shots of my darkstar.

my low quality video and the thrustcurve from my MARSA 33 concur that I had a slow start-up to the motor. Really needed more pressure to get all I could get.....
next year.....

Thank you all you URRG folks - for your hard work providing this festival for us to attend! I had a great time, my first high power launch, now I'm level one and hooked.

Does anyone on here know what happened to cause the spinning cato I saw on Sunday afternoon after lunch? That was a lot of flames from the forward closure so I'm assuming an O-ring but I'm a noob so just curious.

Wild stuff. Amazing big rockets - I don't know where you get your money to burn those big ones but thanks for the show!

Thank you Larry for watching my certification flight! LOC 3" Army Hawk, probably a lot overbuilt and upgraded to 38mm. I180.

Finished cleaning up and putting all the tools away. I found this in my box, it's not mine and I don't recall barrowing it. If it's yours pm me your address and I will mail it out to you.

Thank you to all the organizers, volunteers, vendors, and flyers for a great event!
I was more than a little slow getting the photos I took Saturday and Sunday afternoons posted, but you can see them here: https://www.roykets.com/Roy'sRockets/URRF6.html (You can download the full image from my web page.) Below is my best sample including stage separation.
Hope to see you all again soon!

Base 890. It was a pleasure seeing your great cert flight. We managed to pull off a lot of cert flights I think only one failed that I remember. It was a great weekend I really enjoyed the event and thanks for all the help from so many.

Any chance of having this launch a week or two later? I miss 4th of July week launches. Convenient for some of us for traveling, I know it isn't for others.

I think the trouble is that there's a lot more people that it is not convenient for than it is convenient for. Including the planning staff. If we made this over a holiday weekend, we'd likely loose more than we gain.

To me this is one of the best parts of our hobby and community. Natalie is a new member of our club, a first time URRF participant and perhaps a Space X engineer some day. There is a Type O on her achieving her Level 1 certification. But none the less, a great accomplishment for Natalie and a terrific new member to our community.

What a great write-up! Very thorough, and a great representation of Natalie's journey.
Great job, URRG!
