I am thinking about getting s 98mm Giantleap retainer for a new build. Normally I use Aeropak. Does anyone know if the Aeropak 98/75 motor adapter will work with these retainers?

[smartass mode] Why yes, someone knows; Aeropak and Giant Leap probably both know. [/smartass mode]

Seriously, ask the manufacturers.

Just what I wanted a smart ass answer from someone who hasn't dosen't know.

I have the 38mm and the aeropak adaptor and they work. The radius is guaranteed to work. The concern is the depth of the thread on the slim line compared to the lip of the motor casing plus the lip of the two adaptor parts.

Thanks. I am going to give one a try. I usually prefer Aeropak but the 98 flange will not work with the tail cone. The only other commercial option would be to recess the Aeropak inside the tail cone and build around it.

For what it is worth. To use an Aeropack 98/75 adapter you will need to take .025 off of the OD on the aft adapter ring and retainer plate with lath.

Here is a photo with a 75 mm case inserted.
