Uploaded part 1 of my launch video from last weekend's June Swoosh event. Includes good flights, great flights, some mishaps (including one of my own), several cert flights, and some great night launches. Also my dream rocket (Polecat 5.5" BBII) going up on an L850W. Lots of fun!

Finished going through all the 45 Extreme Rocketry magazines I got from Kevin Trojanowski back in 2012, read everyone cover to cover. Would love to find more HP rocket magazines to read.

I have about 25 pounds of magazines, High Power Rocketry (19), Extreme Rocketry (31), Sport Rocketry (14) and a few Rocket (8) most dating back to 1994 up to about 2002. If interested message me to work out details.

Took delivery of 1 x 3" MAC Performance Scorpion XL - this is one sexy bit of kit ! Even after the USPS gorilla's attacked the packaging, the contents are 'bullet' proof...

Ordered a few other bits from Element14 for the electronics assembly, they should be in my hands later this week.

Only waiting on one more package to arrive which has 'other' components in it. Build thread to follow.

Thanks Greg. I will try it and post a pic when I get it finished.
Well I've got a working setup, so time to get busy on the case.

Great video Ryan.

Some rockets of note were Jims dual motor twister rocket on the dual E9-6 motors.

The Janus series rockets from Jose, all of which were entirely 3D printed, and flown on up to H impulse, the fins were very thin but survived better than I thought they would.

The Nike Smoke that never left the rail, was underpowered from the get go hence the reason it was on the 250' pad with a 12' rail and aimed 7.5°away from the spectator area on a near windless day, the motor was an F15 or F14 APCP motor (old one at that). Yes, I RSO'd it and made the pad assignment, the motor definitely seemed to have some issues as the rocket was built very light.

The many gliders flown by Frank Burke.

Rob Skiba's L1 Cert with the PML Striker, what a fun little rocket, he flew it again on Sunday for a successful L2 Cert on a J350W.

These were just some of the interesting flight of the 211 flown over 3 days. Looking forward to breaking 400 flights this year at Sodblaster II.

Ok, mostly bullet proof :(

Split / crack down the top 4" of the booster tube. Arrghhh !

My local rocket friend, Nick, invited me out for a Father's Day Launch a Box 'O Rockets day with him and his awesome daughters, so I brought along the standard LOC IV for its maiden - flew perfectly straight up on a G76 and returned safely to Earth and iI was very happy & re-inspired after a difficult week and a half. Thanks, Nick.

Pardon the phone video and its refusal to focus at the end, but you'll get the idea. Next up, Richland, Wa. for the HP/DD Super IV version!

Mick,

You have come back a long, long way, my friend . . .

I never gave up on you and I made every effort I could to not allow you to give up hope, either.

If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know !

Well I finalized two two stage ricket designs and posted a thread for help picking which one.

The parts I ordered from Estes to build a ventris arrived and I looked them over. Its gonna be a pretty tall rocket if you use a 2.5" tube, a 2" tube and a 2" slotted tube and the 2.5" nose cone. I didn't realize it's supposed to be that tall... I'm gonna have to look up the specs. It might end up being my first rms rocket.

Well they (the USPS gorillas) get to have a second crack at it (no pun intended), Mike/MAC is shipping a new booster tube next week. :)

And just to make you laugh, this is how the NZ postal service gets around... and yes they do drive them on the roads and the foot paths...

Another great video Ryan. Doesnt even begin to tell the story of some of the coolest flown on Sunday. Rockets like Marty's Cask Strength, which had a solid oak nosecone, that was built of segments and turned to a barrel shape, the airframe was made of bottle tubes for Scotch or whatever Marty's favorite adult beverage is. The Scotch on the Rockets (aka Whiskey A Go Go iirc) was another in the same vein made with Balvenie bottle tubes, the motor that cato'd iirc was a 2G 38mm from CTI that had the ignition pellet trimmed, the fire actually we thought was out after the flames went out, then about 2 minutes later it burst into flame again, at which pointt you see me hosing the insides down with a water extinguisher. Lots of fun to be had all three days.

Another care package arrived from MAC - and this time, the USPS gorillas have not played football with it :)

* Fin Guide
* Nose Cone Ebay
* 4 x Sexy Ejection Canisters
* Rail guides
* Backup Flight Comp

I think we might be able to start assembling this weekend, we what we have so far...

Launched a few rockets at my great-niece’s Birthday party. All flew well and were recovered except for Louine, she went up nice and straight, and everyone lost sight of her. Did not see or hear an ejection, so I believe it is stuck in the ground in the tall grass and weeds in the horse pasture. Searched for a little while in the direction of everyone’s best guess at the direction based on the smoke trail arc, but no love.
