I would say it is good to not do it in city limits.

Where did you hook up the vacuum? The av bay vents?

A few kids came by, attracted by the 5-foot rocket, and asked if we were going to launch it. You're lucky the cops didn't show up . . .

It could be "embarrassing" trying to explain a can of Black Powder, Charge Holders, and an Electrical Firing System in a public park in a residential neighborhood . . . Especially, if the Cops discover that this particular usage of said Black Powder is illegal, without an Explosives Permit !

Better to stay at home or head out to "BFE" for testing.

Hey Craig,

Yes, the AV Bay vent. Actually, I blocked two of the three vents and only used one. Also, I found it easier to adapt my Harbor Freight computer/electronics vacuum adapter kit and 'stuck' and sealed the smaller, more flexible mini hose to the vent with a ring of poster tack, propping it up in positions so it wouldn't fall away. That way if the BT moved, as in the case of a drogue test, it could simply pull away without having a bunch of making tape, etc. taking paint with it or otherwise damaging the section.

Seemed to work well. I do know that I had to let the vacuum work a little longer to activate the charges, I believe, due to the reduced vacuum hose diameter, etc.
