This way you still have the sensitivity of using fingers. I think that's one reason , actually the main reason I don't wear the gloves like I should. And of course my memory is going .There is also a product that plumbers and mechanics use. Liquid gloves .Thanks for the tips.
 
The key to gloves is getting a good tight fit. Most folks wear gloves that are too loose and so you don't feel things through the glove. When I need to have that sense of touch I make sure I wear a medium instead of a large. The larger is easier to get on, while the medium is harder because it is tight. It is the tightness that allows you to feel.

When I worked on the ambulance I did this all the time. With a large glove I could never feel a vein prior to starting an IV. With the medium glove I could easily feel the vein. This is the reason why surgeons gloves are sized, so that you can get the right size glove where you can feel through the glove like a second skin (but our service was too cheap to buy everyone surgeons gloves - we had either medium or large to choose from).
 
Eureka!!!

Attach light LED lights to the bottom, on a 5 ft strand. Will look like a space squid.

Brilliance and madness are so close...…..o_O

 
A little tutorial I threw together for a fellow rocketeer who said his launch lugs were popping off the body tube.

Glued on correctly a cardboard based launch lug or the cardboarrd based body tube will shred before the glue joint fails.

I primed the parts twice, once on 05-02-2019, again on 05-17-2019, using Rustoleum automotive primer both times from the same can. I did some minor sanding between coats.

Today I did some major sanding on the transition interfaces. Then primed again. Got some wrinkling, especially on the Cargo Bay engine shroud. I'm pretty sure it's the CA off gassing that I coated the cereal box transitions with back on April 7th.

Well... note to self... after sanding allow 24 hours for parts to off-gas before primering

No big deal... just kind of weird seeing how I'm giving everything weeks of time to off gas.

Putting some CWF on the SRB Nozzles before installing them on the rocket. The BT-52 is just a fixture to hold the parts.

Finished up and installed the SRB nozzles.

Sanded the CWF on my wood lathe which worked great... the wax paper really worked great.

Looks very good! Color coat is when the base stuff shows up and I dont see any bad stuff at all. Super prep job!
 
2nd Color Coat of white and flat black.

The black is the command module motor nozzle. I used high heat flat black Rustoleum.. I had some left over from painting my wood stove a few years ago.... why not? It gives it that "it's been hot already" look ;)

Looking forward to the next color coats of gloss silver, gloss black and hammered copper.

Painted the black stripes on the cargo bay.

The look is meant to mimic the lower section of the Gemini III, but powered by an Apollo Service Module propulsion motor.

The Service Module Motor (24mm) bolts to the Gemini III Section and the Gemini Section is 2 piece. This cargo bay can be used to haul cargo or serve as a motor mount.

I just started reading this thread today. I confess, I'll probably never read the whole thing; I've just read the first and last pages.

Anyway, I love this design. I might steal it as inspiration to do something similar. I don't usually do as much detail as this, but love the general outline.

So much careful thought in this project. Really interested in your launch setup. :)

Thanks. Here's "The Plan"... I've built the launch horse, but haven't fabricated the bits and pieces for the cluster yet. Shouldn't be to difficult.
