Or did I ??
1 Gr CTI Pro 29 reload/ 2 spacers - F36-14A Blue streak
I drilled the delay with a dat tool -7 / so should have been 7 sec ball park - never heard the ejection charge
Am I missing something or did it never burn ?
Sorry for the newb ??? just new to using my 29 CTI case.

Any pics of the delay grain? Is there any sign that the ejection charge went off? Did rocket ever get off the pad?

Without more info from the OP , this is a guessing game. The Delay Grain clearly burned , the motor burned ok looking at the nozzle. So OP. Did the rocket fly ? Did it just not deploy ?

Plus, what size rocket and how big was the ejection charge? A too small ejection charge may not push the nosecone out. Without knowing more we cant really guess at what occurred.

Andy - Is this your from your Nike Smoke that came in ballistic?

Too bad your pictures don't show the ejection end of the motor. No way at all to determine what may have happened without a picture of that.

Did you do anything to change the ejection charge???

sorry for the delayed response guys- Scott yes , it was my PSII Nike Smoke , I didnt alter the ejection charge, just lowered the delay from 14 to 7-8 range.
I have all the the parts that are left - what do we need to see Rich ??

Andy , can you show us the forward bulkhead. Describe how you drilled the delay ? Did you remove it ? Did you just drill from the front?

Eric

Here is the other end in question -
Looks like the o-ring is pushed , should it be ??

The rocket flew fine, all tho lower than I wanted , it was a first flight shake down. It just never ejected the recovery, nor did I hear it deploy and I was close enough too have heard it I would have thought.

Looks like the ejection charge just wasn’t enough to eject the nosecone and chute. When that happens you probably wouldn’t hear the charge.

First flight of the rocket?

Did you do any ground tests?

The inside looks pretty clean..

Does the inside of the rocket show any sign of an ejection charge going off?
