Just that, did you watch it? did you like it? Did you have an opinion about it? Did it end as you expected it to?
Nicely put, Mike. It was a satisfying end to a great series. The end bit on Young Sheldon was a nice touch and I enjoyed the "behind the scenes" half-hour show, too.A very well done and logical conclusion. I was happy to see more than a few broken things got repaired.
Well, there were some flops, but from Friends Monica had Cougar Town and Joey now stars in Man with a Plan, and from Seinfeld Elaine had Veep. A few other actors have been fortunate to be in two smash hits, e.g.: Murray from Mary Tyler Moore became captain of the Love Boat, Frasier from Cheers had a longer run than the original series, Maude was later one of the Golden Girls, and Al Bundy from Married with Children is now on Modern Family. The history of post sit com series for the actors on Friends and Seinfeld doesn't exactly bode well, not sure many of those actors were in a show that came even close, or one that succeeded for very long.
They referenced young Sheldon getting the Nobel, in the future, when he got older.I don't watch Young Sheldon, what happened?
Maude was later one of the Golden Girls...
I think they did a real warm and touching wrap up to a longtime favorite.
Got to see Young Sheldon On Demand. Haven't cared for the spin-off, but the last few minutes were sure worth it. Here's the end:
The MASH ending? As I recall (its been a while) but that was very depressing based on how enjoyable that show was. Seinfeld was also sort of a train wreck after a great run. Big Bang was very enjoyable, by far my favorite of the three.
I liked the show the first few years then for the story lines got too predictable. Also, good writing and witty humor stands on its own and doesn't need the annoying laugh tracks to trigger the viewers at home. In other words I lost interest after a few years.
It's hard to go from one hit show to another. Of course, there was the queen, Lucille Ball, but she basically played the same character in two different shows. Ditto Bob Newhart. But what about this guy? Two polar opposites in which he scored big:I liked it...and their appearance afterward on S.Colbert, with The Bare Naked Ladies playing the theme song.
Destined to live forever in reruns.
Not sure where the actors go from here, hope they are not typecast by the industry and their fans.
