Id love to make it and oh boy I am going to miss a good one. I should be in for the fall event. I think you should save that there barn fire until you have a weasel in the hen house. That last one was off the hook good.

Save some good weather for me. Coming in from Omaha. Looking forward to a great high power weekend!

If that's not bad enough I understand we may have to deal with a swarm of BlackFlies

Got 2 flies ready for the swarm lol

Ummmm, not to be a debbie downer but Princeton's weather forecast for this coming weekend is looking really crappy.... :(

We here at QCRS do NOT speak of the “W” word. Other “Blasts” may cancel their launches, but we fly!! Snow, wind or rain! Either way, we have a great time.

Have you seen forecast for other Midwest launches this spring. This is the best I have seen.

What is it they say about the weather? It will be there and so will we! Our trip to Mini goes on the calendar just as soon as the date is announced. We've made the trip when the weather was the best you could ask for but also when it was just plain terrible. Either way on our way back home to NY all we seem to talk about is the fantastic time we had and the hospitality we received. This launch attracts fliers from all over. Its always a pleasure to meet, see, and fly with so many of our friends and customers. Don't let a sketchy weather forecast spoil the amazing time your going to have. If you've never been to the Saturday night cookout that Jackie & Tim put on you have no idea what your missing. Don't forget to send them an email or call if you plan to attend so you can be sure there is a steak there with your name on it.;) [email protected]

The swarm leader "SuperFly" is ready to invade!View attachment 383635
That seals the deal. I will be there.
Will Super Fly be accompanied by the X-15 and Pluto SLAM? I missed the X-15 launch last time it flew there. :(

Totally forgot about the cookout. Thx for the reminder.

The X-15 will fly at URRF6 next month. It flys great since I added 3lbs of weight to the nose. No SLAM either but I will have the 4" Zodiac and the 3" FireStick XL.

Kind of funny after all these years you have never changed, just as snarky to your rocket brotherhood as always, LOL

It will get better it's only Monday.
The weekend forecast looks a lot better today then yesterday. Too soon to know how low or high the cloud deck might be, but we shouldn't get soaked on the field. I'm bringing my rubber boots though - the field could be squishy.

That's the truth... They're calling for an inch or more of rain on Friday.
Heads-up everyone... If it does rain, that mud is vicious.

I spent the weekend in the central/north central IL region as a crew member on a steam engine doing fire department fundraiser trips out of Chillicothe and Annawan. Talk about a wet weekend. Annawan on Sunday was not as bad, but we still got a shower in the middle of the day.

I hope the fields dry out for you guys! It was pretty weird to be driving through Princeton without flying a rocket.... I did have a rocket in the truck, but that was more of a transport deal than anything.

I apologize for my “snarky” comment. Mini Midwest Power has been successful in cold driving rains, hot sunny days and everything in between. I took the opportunity to point that out while also pointing out the fact that other launches have rescheduled due to the same weather extremes. Mini Midwest Power is definitely a must do launch and you shouldn’t be deterred by the weather.

QCRS has a great field, a hard working group of volunteers, and with the support from Wildman Hobbies, a good time is always had.

I didn’t mean to speak for the club or use the clubs name with my snarky comment.

John,
Crosstown rivalry will always exist, and we have always had that...it’s human nature and innocent. I hope I didn’t hurt your feelings (I know I didn’t, you are a pretty tough guy)
You have had horrible luck this year with your launch schedule & I hope you will join us and have a good time.

A wise (Wild) man reminded me that life is to short for this kinda stuff. So I officially apologize and hope you will decide to join us this weekend.
