Matterhackers is just a rebranded one. Just FYI

Probably true, but...Thekkiinngg makes a big deal out of it being Made In USA and as far as I can tell, MatterHackers never mentions it. Maybe not a big deal to some, but can be a differentiator to justify cost difference. I ordered one from MatterHackers yesterday because I needed some other things to

ThIs is the same line fo thought I have. The binary dude may be correct, but there is little evidence outside of similarity at this stage.

I got two also. I prefer them for PETG and ABS, but I like the PEI sticker sheets for PLA.

I will try to return to posting testing next week. I have been overcome with events.

After a long discussion with AliExpress: I can confirm that AliExpress Funssor Powder Coated beds have had some quality challenges. The surface comes off when removing prints.

I would not recommend investing in one of them.

TheKKIINNGG Prusa Clone V2
This one is no longer on the market, but it shows the development by the King. I have printed with it for 3-4 months. It is a decent surface with some concerns in durability and quality. It has the right adhesion, but it is not sealed as well, It releases prints very well. The plate I had some small areas where there is variability in surface thickness making live Z a challenge.

  • Adhesion or stickability (20 points): 18 pts - Maybe too much
  • Ease of print removal (20 points): 14 pts - can stick too much
  • Price (20 points): 14 points
  • Availability (10 points): 0 pts
  • Texture quality (10 Points): 5 points
  • Durability (10 Points): 5 points
  • Quality (10 Points): 5 points
  • Total: 61 points
Overall this is not a bad bed. My main concern it the variability in the surface thickness. The surface texture on the print is much flatter than the PRUSA TXT Sheet.

TheKKIINNGG Prusa Clone V3
This one is no longer on the market, but it shows the development by the King. I have printed with it for 2-3 months with about 50-60 prints. This bed answers my concerns about surface quality and durability. It has the right adhesion as very well. The plate I had some small areas where there is variability in surface thickness making live Z a challenge, but over all this one is very close tot he Prusa.

TheKKIINNGG Prusa Clone V4
This one is currently available on the market. I have printed with it for 1 month with about 10-20 prints. The bed is nearly a perfect clone on the Prusa. It has the right adhesion, durability, and quality of the print. The plate I had a uniform surface with no live Z challenges.

The Matterhackers LayerLock Bed
This one is currently available on the market. I have printed with it for 1 month with about 5-10 prints. The bed is nearly a perfect clone on the Prusa and I suspect it is rebranded theKKIINNGG V4. It has the right adhesion, durability, and quality of the print. The plate I had a uniform surface with no live Z challenges.

Overall this is not a bad bed. I felt the price is a little high but you do save on shipping form theKKIINNGG.

Uhh should be 92? :p

I POSTED V3s photos. The more I test the KKIINNGG, the more I think I think the surfaces test the same from V3 and V4 and MH branded version. I may go back and adjust the ratings but they seem essentially the same.

I am testing two beds from Triangle labs also. They seem very good after 3-5 prints on each bed.

I have also compared the new PRUSA beds to the original I received 10 months ago. No huge difference there either.

I am moving on to 10 kilometers of filament printed. That is huge.
