How did you dye the fabric? I have several of those and it would be great to get them to look that way. I know folks who have dyed the entire chute, but have never seen just every other gore dyed. It had have been a PITA.

Took an all white parachute and made it orange and white. Like what Apollo 11 used.

Ritz Tangerine dye, wear gloves, dampen area to be dyed, us dye straight from the bottle, apply like you would "wood stain", have fun, let dry, be happy.

I made a triangle piece of plywood the shape and size of a gore. Screwed a another piece of wood to it to clamp in the vise. It goes fairly quickly.

Tony nice work!! Seriously it looks like it would take longer. Can you post a pic with it catching some wind or in use? I think for the money you can't go wrong with these flare chutes. What are they like $12? That's super cheap! I have 3 of the 42" flares chutes that I had Gary at Topflight reconstruct / repair with all new shroud lines, bridle and 1000 lb swivel. They turned nice. I plan on keeping them because you can't find them anymore, only the 36"

Now to do that to their bigger one. Might take a little bit longer.
