Hmm, makes you wonder if it was "Anti Animal-cruelty Club" or, "Anti-animal Cruelty Club."

Kind of like the CSNY song "Our House." Is it:

"Our house is a very very very fine house, with two cats in the yard. Life used to be so hard."

Or:

"Our house is a very very very fine house. With two cats in the yard, life used to be so hard."

The 6 word sentence

I never said he stole money.

Has 6 different meanings depending on which word gets emphasized.

Sorry for the political post. It was the only picture that actually made me laugh out loud in a long time. Now that I have been berated by no less than three moderators, I am humbled.

Its interesting to see how adding punctuation can change the meaning of a sentence.

Take, for example, the following sentence:
"Excitedly, Johnny ate the pizza"

Now add punctuation and we get:

"Excitedly, Johnny ate the punctuation"

See? The meaning has changed quite a bit.

When I would have a former student or employee that would put me down as a reference, when the call came I always said the same thing...

"I think they'll be fired with enthusiasm."
