Woohoo! The first two day launch of the year at Bong! Combined TWA and Woosh; who's coming and what are you flying?

This weekend! I know I'm looking forward to it!!!:D:D:D

I’m aiming for Saturday. I have a few first flights I’d like to get in.
Two stage 1/5th scale Ute Tomahawk.
Estes Skydart II
Estes Hex

So is Saturday TWA and Sunday is WOOSH?

Planning to come Saturday (but later than I typically like to arrive). :)

I think it's both clubs, both days. Though I don't know the official formal logistics; I know TWA plans to be there both days.

I hope to be in attendance on both days. I have a Tethys Extended and a Level II certification attempt with a PML Tethys Extended. Does anyone know if any vendor will be in attendance? I need a couple motors and missed the deadline for Wildman's drop off at Bong. Alternately, does anyone know of a Chicago or Milwaukee retailer or source for HPR motor reloads that I can pick up on Friday or Saturday?

I might be there Saturday with some MPR stuff. Just wish I could fly my drone there for the photo ops.

Maybe Sat? I’m 3500 miles away from my rockets to see what I have.

Typically Wildman would be the sole vendor at the launches. Jackie from Wildman will be there, but she may or may not have "extras" beyond the pre-order/delivery stuff.

Unfortunately no brick and mortar high power motor dealers in the area.

If you know what you're after, several of us "regulars" have a motor stash we can share if you're in a pinch.

I'm still struggling to get something, at this point anything, in flyable condition.

Sagers - will be there Saturday. Gotta get out of the cave after a long winter hibernation.

Ready!

Been wanting to stage Bp F-15's for quite a while but there doesn't seem to be a "good" way to do it. So....When in doubt, just add power right? I picked up the Ascender and booster from our local Hobby Lobby bargain bin about 2 years ago. Passed on it at $35, couldn't resist the following week when I scored both for $24. Wanted a simple Bp. stager so I built it and discovered it's just too heavy so I lost interest. Yesterday, after fighting with electronics and balky Lipos for several hours so I could fly some bigger stuff, got frustrated and gave up for a bit. Perusing my motor stash gave me this idea. I've had 2 years to get this done and here I sit at 3:30 a.m. on launch day trying to cobble it together. Procrastination is apparently my forte...20190406_031625.jpg

It was a great day. It looks like rain for tomorrow though. But now that the rockets are sprouting it should help.20190406_130121.jpg

Just started raining here (Lake Michigan shoreline) 2 minutes ago..

Six mid-power flights Saturday - all successful. Highest was a Ventris to 1971 ft on a G76. It’s fun using the JL Altimeter 3. Nice to see a graph immediately after.
