10 years ago had some one said that we would be launching 'Dual deploy' low power rockets or affordable recording altimeters in low power birds, I would have said something like 'in your dreams'. anyone care to speculate on what we will be doing as a whole in rocketry? my guesses are improved electronic payloads(cameras and such) and 3d printing.

Affordable tracking. I like the chase, but walking through shoulder high grass gets old fast. I think electronics as a whole, recording altimeters, deployment controllers, tracking, are ready for a step change.

My prediction is smaller and cheaper for all of the above. I would like to see the day when electronics are standard on every flight.

Electronics will replace black powder for ejection. Gonna miss that smell of black powder after each launch...even if it soils my laundry.
