Haven't seen a thread like this in a while. Everyone going to Huntsville tomorrow share you experiences here. Pictures (not of the confidential stuff on the Marshall Flight center tours haha) where you're eating diner, etc...

Weather is looking fantastic so far. Actually looking forward to my 9 hour drive tomorrow with the exception of Nashville. Everyone in Nashville drives like a crazy person. And that's saying a lot because I drive around Chicago frequently and Nashville drivers are worse. WAY worse.

Safe travels all! Enjoy the freshly painted Saturn V mock-up on your drive down 565

Unfortunately, my suitcase didn’t make the last of the three flight segments.

That's never a good way to start trip! John should have plenty of NAR shirts for you (wear a different name each day!), but you may be out of luck on 'other' clothing items

Good times having dinner with the NAR crew early arrivals (glad your luggage arrived Steve, albeit not unharmed), organization presidents, and others. Looking forward to beginning reviews tomorrow!

How many members were on OSU's team? I swear the temperature increased a degree or two with all those extra bodies..

I was stuck at work so these are shamelessly lifted from the Nasa SL facebook page.

That's just your brain trying to shield itself from all of that orange! :p

Are you in town Boat?

I wish, but no. The students I mentor were there in '16 and '17, but haven't been back since. If we do well at TARC Nationals, we'll be back. They're getting ahead of themselves, but the students are talking about something truly unique if they qualify.

Ah, you mentor a TARC team? That may be a difficulty. This year the only highschools allowed to enter were ones with 3-5 previous Student Launch experiences, which basically means AIAA and Madison West over and over again.

Personally I'd love for the coordinators to reopen application to the TARC finalists. One team last year used a great system of an undersized core motor ringed with paired A/B/C motors that would be triggered depending on how fast they were closing in on the target altitude.

Ah, that is too bad. The team I mentor might possibly qualify though, as they had the two recent years plus three years 2009-2011.

Anyway, look forward to the pictures you're sending. There are some great rockets there.

My team made me do that.

This is the SLS core stage on the test stand. The Marshall tours are a little different from year to year and this one was pretty cool

The core stage being out for viewing is pretty cool!

More flight review pics

Kudos to Hawaii for flying to California and back for test flights.
