My prayers are with you.

I had mine out robotically in 2016. The little bastid was peripheral and leaked out locally. Got a choline Pet scan that showed local spread. Got blasted with radiation (wasn't that bad) with 2 years of Lupron shots. Next month's PSA is important and I'm on pins and needles. My radiation oncologist said not to worry, he went to a cancer conference at Sloan-Kettering and saw a patient presentation of a 44 year old with stage 4 disease. Whipped up a biologic based on his tumor DNA and the guy was still disease free at 4 years!!! Don't write yourself off!!!! Kurt

CT today, all nodes restricted to pelvis, bone scan negative. Lupron today, start radiation next Wednesday.

All VISIBLE disease is treatable with radiation

Keep your faith up, this CAN be beaten. I was 56 when I was treated in 2010 for an earlier stage of prostate cancer, using proton radiation therapy. My last PSA in December was 0.1, virtually unreadable! In the mean time in 2014 I had open heart surgery for a triple bypass. Currently I am physically capable of doing anything I want, including chasing rockets 1/4 mile across fields.
