Aeropack adapter nesting

Will Aeropack nest down from a 75 to a 38? Got a 5.5 LOC Phoenix today and of course it came with no motor retention, not even those clip things. I considered Aeropack because I already have a 38/54 adapter and my motor is a 38mm J435 for my L2. The 54/75 Aeropack looks like it's just rings, not a tube like all the others.

You are correct, that is it just rings, unfortunately I am unsure and have the same question as you....can you go from 75 down to 54 and then 38mm. I don't have any 54mm hardware to test, only 38mm.
But here are the pics from my adapter kit.

Aeropack tubular adapters will nest as long as you have all of the intermediate sizes and if you’re using them with an Aeropack retainer. I haven’t tried them with other retainers.
The adapters as shown are clamp on rings that are only good for adapting a motor case to the next size up motor mount. They don’t nest.

I have plans to adapt 98 down to 54 this summer. If you try it before I do, let me know how it goes!

A few people just informed me earlier that it will indeed do it. The upper clamp ring goes on the top of the tubular adapter where the double ring is. It clamps there

Just make one. I made a nice 98-54 adapter with 2 centering rings and a motor mount for the 54. Just make the centering rings to fit inside the larger sized motor mount . I’ll post a picture of mine when I get home.
