Off the wall opinion, Larsen's cold, some say wooden, portrayal of 'Vers" as a Kree Space Force operative made sense to me considering she was basically brainwashed to believing she was an alien super soldier. No-nonsense, get the job done, then has to relearn who and what she was

I agree that Annette Benning was miscast, but I was happy with Brie Larson's performance. I thought she was very good when she got into battle mode.

And yeah, the soundtrack was great. :)
Agree about Annette Benning - she just didn’t seem to “fit” either of her three-ish roles. But her performance wasn’t a deal breaker. Brie Larson was fine though the wisecracking as character development schtick got a little old - she was better the straighter she played her part. The flerken CGI was a bit clunky - there always seems to be at least one bit of bad animation in an MCU movie. And the closest thing I can recall to any SJW foolishness was the throw-away bit when “Vers” swiped the Sportster from the jerky guy - his jerkiness was a bit over the top and neither moved the story forward nor came off as a funny joke. But, again, that tiny gag certainly doesn’t rate as remotely egregious enough for the goofy rants this movie has kicked off. A good, solid mid-level MCU movie that does try to cram just a bit too much into it’s running time - just like the thoughtful criticisms have pointed out. We were entertained for a couple of hours, spent some time after the movie discussing the connections to other MCU movies, and now are looking forward to seeing the hopefully awesome show down between Thanos and Captain Marvel in Endgame.

I finally saw this movie last night. It is not a bad flick and is fun for a non-stop action super-hero movie. I sure wouldn't go to a super-hero movie looking for some kind of special acting. It is amazing how young they make Samuel L. Jackson look in the film. There was an "Easter Egg" in the credits showing a scene connecting to another release coming this year. In a way all these Marvel movies are self-contained, but in way they are leading up to a new Avenger movie to fight a super-villain that has been appearing in other Marvel movies. In this way Marvel is trying to hook the audience into seeing all their movies.
