They got us on speed dial! Somebody paid for me to travel and live overseas while I was in the Air Force. The least I can do is support a troop so they can travel and get perspective outside their zip code.

I dropped about $50.00 a couple of years ago and had them sent to the troops in Afghanistan. I know that we would have gone ape for that when I was in. I'm too old to be eating that kind of stuff, but there was a time when I wasn't. I was in during Vietnam so we didn't see such things too often, but we sure went nuts when we did. Back then we could eat entire bakeries and never gain a pound. Now I put on weight walking past an empty cookie box.

I don't actually like any of their cookies. Same with the boy scout popcorn flavors. I sometimes just offer to give them $10 - $20 if they promise not to try to give me the cookies or popcorn.

I detest the popcorn. Cookies are great, though terrible for you. We buy some from the little Girl Scouts in our neighborhood, because the parents stand on the sidewalk and make them do all the customer interaction, keep records, make change, etc.
