Why? To see how your clothes will drape while farting?

Done this once, the guy was pissed screaming and yelling at our pumper driver and me. Our driver just said what you gonna do? Call the cops?
About 20 minutes go by and car owner shows up with a cop, screaming and yelling again that we can't do this to his car, telling the cop to have us disconnect the line. Cop looks the car over, at the line in the car, looks at plates on the car. Goes to his cruiser comes back with a ticket for 1. parking in front of the hydrant, 2. expired plates, 3. no insurance, 4. Disorderly conduct, 5. interference of a public official in the course of his duties.
I thought the guys head was going to EXPLODE !

And also, I'm pretty sure they had to break those rear windows at around $200 to $400 each.

I've always thought someone should do this with IRS scammers. Have your friends outside the door ready to burst in on cue. Then tell the phone guy that you absolutely refuse to make the payments. Then, when he threatens you with the police being on their way, have your friends throw open the door and shout that they are the police. Use some sound effects to make it sound like a shootout has taken place. Then pick up the phone and tell the scammers, "I did it! I killed the coppers! Now ... I'm comin' for you!" And hang up.

Saw an article recently comparing average starting salaries for college grads vs. average cost of student debt. However, there lumped all college grads together.

Average starting salary for college grads was reported as $40k. But what they didn't tell you is that CS/EE grads start at $80k, whereas gender studies grads start at $0.

They got the names wrong. Jim is the guy at the Water Treatment Plant that is sending out Gunther and Rocco to shut off the snowflake's water for non-payment. He better have a lot of that beer.

Many years ago, one of my profs told us that as new civil engineers, we'd be the lowest paid people on a big construction site, including the people pushing brooms. The highest paid person is the crane operator, unless the construction company (or customer) owner happens to be visiting. There's not so many now, but for a while I saw roadside signs everywhere looking for journeyman electricians at $50/hour. I wish K-12 schools would give more respect to people who go into the trades.

Used to be employers looked at a college degree as proof the person had enough discipline to stick with something a while and be trainable. Didn't matter what the subject was. Military was a good example, your degree could be in underwater basket weaving and you'd still be an officer.

NOW employers really are looking for best bang for the buck. Unfortunately, high school grads haven't figured this out, and too many of the go to college just to "go to college", with no thought for what exactly they are going to be doing when they get out. Certain degrees will make person very hire-able, like chemical engineering. Another interesting one is Actuarial Science, which can land a very lucrative job with insurance firms. The "fuzzy studies" degrees, on the other hand, don't seem to do much other than waste four years.

I talked to an attorney about someone planning to get a paralegal degree. He said he'd rather just take someone out of high school and intern them for a couple of years and would have a better product and pay the person as much or more.

There are simply not enough jobs REQUIRING a college degree for all the people GETTING a college degree.

Not saying don't GO to college. Saying, "make sure you have an end in mind."
