Seeing if there is any interest in a 54mm fin can, I built the MAC Hyper54 but since are field doesn't allow aluminum fins, and I cant see painting them to use at Argonia since I paid to have them polished, gonna put them up for sale.
I bought the kit and then paid local machine shop to polish the fins for me.
Hard to price something like this since it is unique but the MaxQ 54mm fins are $160 plain, and $340! polished. And these are the MAC designed fins so different shape then regular MaxQ fins.
Selling fins only, Never flown, Never glued, hand tight only
$225

Almost a mirror finish when buffed,

No longer for sale, I got word they changed the rules for painting aluminum at Argonia so I will be flying the Hyper54 at LDRS :)
Can you confirm you heard that from Bob, Lance, or one of the other officers? I just don't want anybody being turned away disappointed.

Glad you are keeping those cool fins.

What is the point of having rules for painted vs. non-painted aluminum fins?

It's always been that way. If it is for the structural of the rocket fine just can have it exposed. If it is an unnecessary add on then yea not okay.
