I have a similar situation like you but different.
We receive it seems like 2-3 packages a week in the mail for me wife. Either from target, Amazon, walmart, ect... I give her respect and not question why we get so many packages or how much stuff costs. I do that so when I order rocket stuff when it comes in the mail she doesnt question me nor does she ask me what it costs. It's a respectful mutual understanding. It works pretty good. Sure we can just look at the bank statement but no need.
This status quo can continue as long as the children come first and our hobbies come second. As long as all the Bill's are paid, children's needs are met, the pre budget savings is in the bank the disposable income we have is fair game.
