The first time it snowed in deep south texas during my life was Christmas Eve 2004. (A winter texan from canada walked into church with a snowball and everyone thought he was pranking till we looked outside)

Anyways, Christmas morning we made a little 18-20" snowman and stuck him in the storage freezer for the fun of it. Over the next several months he of course started sublimating and wasting away, but it was still funny to have a snowman in the freezer. That is, until a container of frozen raspberries cracked and started leaking extract onto him. Then he looked like a bloody mess of a snowman and our parents made us get rid of it

My mom used to load 5 gallon pails with lids full of snow in January and store them into our deep freeze. Then she'd surprise us and take them out in August for snowball fights with the kids in the neighborhood. Good times!
