"Arduino Nano" from Banggod, is it any good?

I use knock-off Arduino most of the time. They are cheaper and work just as well. Some come with the headers not installed, so I can solder a wire into the hole only if needed.

The cheap nanos are usually cheap because they use the CH340 USB serial bridge. With windows I don’t believe this is a problem. with macs you need to install the drivers and they’re crappy but tolerable (I get odd kernel panic and very frequent failures to connect or complete transfers). Not sure about Linux.

That’s said, I use the $4 ones all the time. The extra bit of hassle is worth the $15 savings. Have yet to have one fail.

BTW, the costs at the provided UK Amazon links with free shipping were for 3 Nano V3s in the first example and 5 in the second, not for single units.

I always order more than one of any electronic module even if I can get by with only one just in case I fry one. I haven't thus far, but you never know, and waiting for a replacement is, in many cases, not a short wait. Also, since I concentrate my buying with Amazon whenever possible unless the price difference is insane, the e-modules found there with good prices and free Prime 2-day shipping are usually for multiples. Finally, Amazon has a fantastic return policy.
