Eggtimer Quark build.. starting, but need to have someone look at pads.

Hey all,
I got a bunch of Egg products from the black Friday deal. I am starting with my Quark, with a nice new Hakko mid level/grade adjustable soldering iron and 10x mag light ring for my build station.

I just started tinning pads and I think I see some bridging from the manufacture. I want to know if I am correct, that it is bridged, is it an issue and should I just try to scrape a little bit.

I am trying to build this afternoon, as my time is limited and I have set today as a build afternoon, so if anyone can help asap I would appreciate it. Thanks,

I think the Quark might be the hardest one to build.

Based on the size of the parts and their quantity, the TRS takes the prize. It's got like four times the number of parts of a Quark, with the same 0805 sized passives.

Mark, what mag light ring do you have? I'm not liking the focal length of my mag visor and the amount of fumes I get. Amazon is a sea of choices, but I'm not sure they are up to the task of eggproducts.

I also just started to build a Quark, think I already might have messed it up. Does anyone build these? Thanks.

May I suggest before building an Eggtimer kit, folks who don't have a kit building background try something like this:

It will give you some practice and a feel for what is involved, as well as helping you ensure you have a proper setup to build the kits.

eric did PM me, but did not know he would build for others. He did ask to help via pics.

thanks for the thought, I have the needed tools, but don't have the needed eyes. I would hate to hurt some one or something due to a solder joint failing.

have not used yet for building egg stuff yet...I have used it for looking at altimeters that had an issue.
