I didn't grow up here....but in a couple of weeks I will have lived here for 40 years. Agreed. Time to get out the CDs with those two songs on them and add them into the rotation here at the house.

Childhood memory.
Growing up my father was something of a stereo aficionado..built his own system in the late fifties/early sixties .
You won't find this version of Carol of The Birds by Jack de Mello & the symphony of sounds electronica ensemble on YouTube but I finally found it on iTunes.

That said, while not exactly a Christmas song...I was at an electronics store looking at HD TV one season years ago and saw this…
Was transfixed: Must have been the sound quality….LOL.
Oh yeah, if I ever hear "Grandma got run over by a raindeer" again I'm gonna throw something at the car radio.

I'm not religious but I'm a huge sucker for a solid rendition of "O Holy Night." Done well, it's a pretty powerful song.
Beyond that I'm like a little kid when it comes to traditional Christmas music. Most new stuff makes me cringe however.

Yep. I am with you here. I mostly like the songs about the spirit or reason for Christmas. Little Town of Bethlehem, Mary Did You Know, Do You Hear What I Hear, The first Noel
IMO the Christmas story is a beautiful story. Like it, Love it, hate it, believe it or not...I'm not preaching. Just a beautiful story.
As for Christmas'y songs. Winter Wonderland, The Christmas Song, Let it Snow, It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas
Not really Christmas'y but has jingle bells and is played on some holiday streams: William Bell - Everyday will be like a holiday
